Philips SPA7210/17 Multimedia Speakers 2.0 Reviews
It's not your high end home sound system! So what does it do?br /1. It Cranks out any audio on your Laptop, Desktop or cell phone.br /2. You can take your iphone or android cell and play any audio from it!br /3. The sound is suprisingly good for small speakers - not loud as hell but just a good deep sound!br /4. I have an HTC EVO Android cell phone and just plug and play any radio station in the app store or pandora.br /One thing I did notice is that Pandora does not sound as loud or good as the Radio stations that you have on android. The radio sounds 10 times better. It sounds better than my laptop audio files also. These files are from a cheap mp3 site so the quality might not be as good as other sources.br /5. It charges smart phone while it's playing with a usb jack if you have that set up on your smart phone!br /br /Conclusion: So it's no high end Bose system but for bucks you can plug in your cell phone and listen to any sports radio, music radio or Pandora with better sound than most iphone or mp3 portable sound systems. It does need a electric plug outlet though, did not notice any battery source for portability! Listen if you got the money to get the Bose system that's cool but if you want good sound for fairly cheap? Go get em.

These Things Look Good-But Sound Lousy! - Robspace1 - Vancouver Wa.
I have no idea how the other people reviewing this set of speakers came to post such positive comments on these speakers but, now, it's my turn. Sound is a funny thing. To some people these may be perfect, but, for anyone that wants a full range of sounds from their music and games, these won't cut it.br /br / The kid that talked me into getting these at Walmart did so, by telling me how great the sound was. He said his friends had them and they loved them. I asked how there could be such a good bass sound with no seperate sub-wolfer, and he said the bass speakers were built into the speakers and no seperate box was needed. He lied! There is very little bottom to these things, and if you like to hear a good bass bottom in your music, skip these things.br /br / Ya know, I should have known better when he told me how good Philips was with speakers. And when I told him I was replacing my old set of Altec Lansing with these, he said, "That's some new company and they make lousy speakers". I almost laughed out loud in his face. Lansing has made the finest sound systems in the world for many years.br /br / But, they had none, so I got the Philips. I got them home, and within 5 minutes, I was putting them back in the box and headed back to the store. They sucked. They look great on the desk. Very modern, sleek design, but they need a bottom. If they had a seperate bass sub wolfer, they might be ok. But, without it, their no good for me.
Philips 7210's - Fred's Review -
I didn't buy these speakers from Amazon because they were out of stock so I purchased them at Walmart.br /br /I needed something better than the monitor's speakers for my PC, well I was amazed at the quality of the sound that these speakers produced and combined with the Polk PSW10 powered sub-woofer a simply incredible 2.1 setup. You will not have to turn the volume up to more than 30% to hear the dialog or the performers fingers sliding across his guitar's steel strings. br /Music and movies really jump out at you with very clean tones and no distortion, these SPA7210's are a great buy and great little speakers. br /br /I highly recommend them even without the sub-woofer....
